THE MONSTER : RIHANNA VAMPS IT UP IN A SEXY REVEALING CORSET WHILE EMINEM STRAPS INTO HIS SLIM SHADY STRAITJACKET FOR THE VIDEO OF THEIR NEW SONG

Damn, this has got to be the best song I’ve heard to date. Rihanna sings the beautiful but dark and twisted chorus which is,
“I’m friends with the monster that’s under my bed
Get along with the voices inside of my head
You’re trying to save me, stop holding your breath
And you think I’m crazy, yeah, you think I’m crazy
Well, that’s nothing
Well, that’s nothing.”

Eminem who has been through quite a number of things, revisits his troubling history in this video with Rih Rih. “The Monster” tells a new story, incorporating narratives from past Eminem videos, blending old clips with newly shot scenes that bring fans back to his days of “My Name Is,” “The Way I Am” and “Lose Yourself”. The 3 songs mentioned are all featured in the video as you can see in the first 8 .gif images in my post. The story line follows present day Mr. Mathers as he and his therapist (played by Rihanna) confront his inner demons by digging up old memories. Eminem even took it back to his Grammy performance with Elton John which took place in 2000. If you didn’t catch the visual cues, don’t worry, I have got you covered. Check it out.

Eminem and Rihanna always give off a sick crazy vibe. Em unveiled the new music video for his Rihanna -assisted “Monster” on Monday December 16th. It’s about five minutes long. The video opens on Em, sitting in a therapist’s office as Doctor Rih-Rih scribbles notes on a pad. A TV nearby plays some of Eminem’s clips on a loop as Marshall Mathers appears to slip into a state of hypnosis. He goes down a free-falling elevator shaft.Visions of Dr. Dre, “8 Mile,” Elton John and several iconic moments from his career flutter by as Em tumbles down the shaft. In the end, Eminem comes face-to-face with his formerly drug-addicted self and makes a very wise decision of choosing to turn around and walk the other way. A bustier-clad Rihanna, croons out the catchy chorus.”The Monster” is the fourth collaboration between the duo. The two got together and sang the following hits ;
1. Love the Way You Lie.
2. Love The Way You Lie Part 2.
3. Numb.
Last month on MTV, Eminem revealed that Rihanna was the only girl for his Marshall Mathers LP 2 track. “The perception of the record, what it’s saying, I thought it would be a good idea to have her on it because I think people look at us like we’re both a little nuts. That’s one of the things that I was telling her in making the record: I think that people look at us a little crazy,” Eminem said. “As soon as I got the beat I just heard her on it,” he added. “I wanted to make sure that I had it finished first to be able to present to her, but once I had the rhymes done, I sent it to her.”

” Rihanna and Eminem tend to make magic when they’re together for example in the song “Love The Way You Lie” , so it’s no surprise that the music video for their new collaboration, “Monster,” is dark, disturbing, and utterly addicting. When Eminem and Rihanna first came together for “Love the Way You Lie” on Em’s Recovery album, fans were smitten. So it makes perfect sense that the pair reunited for “Monster”— an equally dark tune that finds Rihanna and Eminem lamenting their relationships with their own personal demons. The dark, violent, and very sexy video for “Monster” finally debuted on Dec. 16, and of course, RiRi and Em did not disappoint. The video is thus definitely dark, full of violence, and slightly disturbing — but it fits given the overall tone of Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP 2 album. ”

LYRICS

The Monster
Eminem Featuring Rihanna

[Hook – Rihanna:]
I’m friends with the monster that’s under my bed
Get along with the voices inside of my head
You’re trying to save me, stop
holding your breath
And you think I’m crazy, yeah, you think I’m crazy

[Verse 1 – Eminem:]
I wanted the fame, but not the
cover of Newsweek
Oh, well, guess beggars can’t be
choosey
Wanted to receive attention for my music
Wanted to be left alone in public.
Excuse me
For wanting my cake and eat it too,
and wanting it both ways
Fame made me a balloon ’cause my ego inflated
When I blew; see, but it was confusing
‘Cause all I wanted to do is be the Bruce Lee of loose leaf
Abused ink, used it as a tool when I blew steam (wooh!)
Hit the lottery, oh wee
But with what I gave up to get it
was bittersweet
It was like winning a used mink
Ironic ’cause I think I’m getting so huge I need a shrink
I’m beginning to lose sleep: one
sheep, two sheep
Going cuckoo and cooky as Kool Keith
But I’m actually weirder than you
think
‘Cause I’m

[Hook – Rihanna:]
I’m friends with the monster that’s under my bed
Get along with the voices inside of my head
You’re trying to save me, stop
holding your breath
And you think I’m crazy, yeah, you think I’m crazy
Well, that’s nothing
Well, that’s nothing

[Verse 2 – Eminem:]
Now, I ain’t much of a poet but I
know somebody once told me
To seize the moment and don’t
squander it
‘Cause you never know when it all could be over tomorrow
So I keep conjuring, sometimes I
wonder where these thoughts spawn from
(Yeah, pondering’ll do you wonders.
No wonder you’re losing your mind the way it wanders.)
Yo-lo-lo-lo-yee-whoo
I think it been wandering off down yonder
And stumbled on ‘ta Jeff
VanVonderen
‘Cause I need an interventionist
To intervene between me and this monster
And save me from myself and all this conflict
‘Cause the very thing that I love’s
killing me and I can’t conquer it
My OCD’s conking me in the head
Keep knocking, nobody’s home, I’m sleepwalking
I’m just relaying what the voice in my head’s saying
Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just friends with the

[Verse 3: Eminem]
Call me crazy but I have this vision
One day that I’d walk amongst you a regular civilian
But until then drums get killed and
I’m coming straight at
MC’s, blood get spilled and I’ll
Take you back to the days that I’d
get on a Dre track
Give every kid who got played that
Pumped up feeling and shit to say back
To the kids who played him
I ain’t here to save the fucking
children
But if one kid out of a hundred
million
Who are going through a struggle
feels it and then relates that’s great
It’s payback, Russell Wilson falling way back
In the draft, turn nothing into
something, still can make that
Straw into gold chump, I will spin
Rumpelstiltskin in a haystack
Maybe I need a straight jacket, face facts
I am nuts for real, but I’m okay with that
It’s nothing, I’m still friends with
the
