The 2014 BET Awards saved the best for last with a special broadcast performance from Beyonce and Jay-Z ’s ‘On The Run Tour’ to close’out the show on Sunday (June 29) night. Although the Carters were not actually in Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, their pre-taped performance was still as exciting. Jigga opened up the clip by taking a seat on a chair onstage under a crimson light as he spit a brand new never-heard before verse for Bey’s “Partition.”
In the few bars that Jigga added to the beginning of the song, he managed to sprinkle his classic Jay flair all over the raunchy fan-favorite. Not one to be outdone, Mr. Carter brought his own R-rated rhymes to the single, for his verse, which clocked in at just about half-a-minute. On paper (or screen), it looks like this:
“Wet, wet skeet skeeted on the Met dress
Uh, word to Ricardo Tisci
She like, ‘Oh my God,’
I’m like, ‘Nice to meet me’
Damn, girl, you got that Versace Left the curtains open for the paparazzi
A little TMI for you, TMZ
Hope I get my on your D-I-C on your E-Y-E
Uh, the K silent, I’m a Brooklyn n*gga
I let the K (sound affect) on you lookin’ n*ggas
It’s to the death
case you wondering
I don’t need a hundred bitches ’cause my bitch keep it one hundred
One hundred…” On cue, Bey emerged from backstage under a spotlight in front of a large digital screen flanked by dancers on stripper poles. The fans in the sold-out arena shrieked with delight as the sultry chanteuse was shown on the big monitors near the stage. As she sang, “Driver, roll up the partition, please
Driver, roll up the partition, please
I don’t need you seeing ‘Yonce on her knees,” in a glittery leotard, the video panned to the hordes of fans singing along.
Beyonce recently shocked the whole world by releasing an album titled BEYONCE which she had been working on. The visual album consists of 14 songs and 17 music videos. Three of the videos are a bonus.
The tracks in the album include ;
1. Drunk In Love
4. Mine (featuring Drake)
6. Pretty Hurts
9. No Angel
15. Blue (featuring Blue Ivy)
17. Grown Woman
It is truly a huge surprise how she managed to keep the album a secret. It did not leak at all prior to its release. Queen Bee features her beautiful daughter Blue Ivy Carter in the song Blue. Partition is a very seductive song in which Beyonce dances for Jay Z in a sexy manner. Drunk in Love is shot at a beach setting during the night with Bee clad in a bikini. Jay Z is featured in the tune and he definitely drops a sick verse.
Here are photos from the videos she shot.
“The album “Beyonce” sold 991,000 copies in its first 10 days and is (so far) the 12th biggest-selling album of 2013. The self-titled album remains unstoppable:on the Billboard 200 chart, as it spends a second week at the top of the list. “Beyonce” sold 374,000 copies in the week ending Dec. 22. It bowed at No. 1 on the previous week’s chart, after only three days on sale, with 617,000 sold. The album was released on 13 th Friday, December 2013. It’s likely that “Beyonce” will finish 2013 among the top 10 sellers (all of which have sold at least 1 million this year). “Beyonce’s” debut was fueled by sales only from the iTunes Store, as the album was exclusively available through the retailer until the end of last week. After that, the set went on sale through all traditional sellers of music, including brick-and-mortar establishments. (Notably, both Target and Amazon.com declined to sell the CD version of the album). Although “Beyonce” became widely available in its second week, its digital sales remain strong (most of those coming from the iTunes Store). On its 374,000 second week, downloads made up 63% (235,000). It was the top selling digital album of the week, and remains at No. 1 on the Digital Albums chart. (Among the top selling physical albums of the week, “Beyonce” was the No. 3 seller, behind Garth Brooks “Blame It All On My Roots” and One Direction’s “Midnight. Have a splendid day.”
